Storyboarding Work for “Cyberchase” Season 15
After working as a revisionist on Season 14, I had the opportunity to join my team at PIP again, this time as a full Boards artist on Season 15.
Here are some animatic clips of my finished work!
In this episode, Buzz and Delete struggle to care for a wilting flower, when a
heat wave threatens to cancel Factoria’s annual flower show.
In this episode, Inez learns the value of coexisting side-by-side when her mother
asks her to share her room with her younger sister.
In this episode, Buzz and Delete end up at odds when Buzz’s jealousy
and Delete’s carelessness get in the way of their camping trip’s success.
Personal Story Work
“Caterpillar Soup” Sequence: Transformation
A sequence boarded for my 3rd year group film (completed 2021); Miso discovers the transformative powers inside of their cocoon, and goes through a transformation.
“SAVOR” Sequence: Taste of Childhood
A sequence boarded for my thesis film (in progress, 2022); A child sits at a banquet table where dishes represent stages of life; hers being the warm but fleeting experience of childhood.
“Caterpillar Soup” Rough Board Pitch: Moth Miso
A board I pitched for my 3rd year group film (completed 2021). I was really enamored with the “Moth” design I pitched alongside the base idea for this film– so this scene was boarded in my own time, to convince the team to keep her in.
It’s rough and there are still some handwritten notes sprinkled in, but I felt this board was a good example of one of my first drafts!
Sequence from “Cadaver Conundrum”
A sequence from a collaborative animatic assignment (completed 2020), in which a young servant boy attempts to hide a body he found in his employer’s mansion.
(Character designs by Rae Minos and Richard Liao)
